Abstract

This article analyzes the role of euphemisms as an important linguistic strategy in the development of inclusive communication in modern English. Inclusive language aims to avoid expressions that may marginalize or discriminate against certain social groups. In this context, euphemisms function as linguistic tools that soften potentially offensive expressions and promote respectful communication. The study examines the sociolinguistic functions of euphemisms in gender discourse, disability-related language, and age-related terminology. The findings demonstrate that euphemisms play a significant role in shaping inclusive language and supporting socially responsible communication.
