This article analyzes modern trends in the methodology of developing logical thinking from both theoretical and practical perspectives. The main objective of the study is to identify contemporary pedagogical approaches that enhance logical thinking skills in primary education and to justify their effectiveness. The research methodology is based on the analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature, comparative analysis, generalization, and theoretical modeling. The paper examines the theoretical foundations of logical thinking development through cognitive development theories, particularly the concepts of Piaget and Vygotsky. It also highlights modern educational approaches such as metacognitive strategies, problem-based learning, cognitive conflict, differentiated instruction, and interactive methods. These approaches are shown to significantly contribute to the development of students’ independent thinking, analytical skills, generalization, and logical reasoning abilities. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of developing logical thinking largely depends on the implementation of innovative and learner-centered approaches in the educational process. In conclusion, the systematic integration of modern pedagogical methods enhances students’ intellectual potential and fosters their development as independent and critical thinkers.
