SPECIFIC GRAMMATICAL AND STYLISTIC FEATURES OF RELIGIOUS SPEECH GENRES

Abstract

This article analyzes the specific grammatical and stylistic features of religious speech genres that emerge within the framework of religious discourse. The study examines the linguistic units of religious speech genres, their syntactic structure, lexical-semantic characteristics, and communicative-pragmatic functions. It also discusses the active use of imperative, exclamatory, interrogative, and rhetorical sentences in religious speech, the wide usage of Arabic and religious terminology, and the role of stylistic devices such as repetition, parallelism, idiomatic expressions, and stable word combinations in enhancing the expressiveness of speech. The article analyzes, based on examples, the grammatical structure and stylistic characteristics of religious speech genres such as prayer, sermon, khutbah, tafsir, and fatwa. The results of the research are important for the linguistic study of religious discourse and for determining the place of religious speech genres within the language system.
