THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS AND PEDAGOGICAL TECHNOLOGIES FOR DEVELOPING CRITICAL THINKING IN STUDENTS

Abstract

This article explores the scientific and theoretical interpretations of the concept of critical thinking, its psychological and pedagogical essence, and its role in the educational process. The views of foreign and national scholars on the phenomenon of critical thinking are analyzed, and its importance in the intellectual development of the individual is highlighted. The study substantiates pedagogical conditions, innovative technologies, interactive methods, and forms of instruction aimed at developing students’ critical thinking skills. The role of problem-based learning, heuristic discussions, debates, seminars, conferences, and interactive activities in enhancing students’ independent cognitive activity is scientifically explained. The article systematically presents the theoretical and practical foundations for the development of critical thinking.
