Mazkur maqolada pedagogik tafakkur va metakognitsiya tushunchalarining nazariy asoslari hamda ularning ta’lim jarayonidagi o‘rni ilmiy yondashuvlar asosida tahlil qilinadi. Pedagogik tafakkur o‘qituvchining kasbiy faoliyatida ta’limiy vaziyatlarni anglash, tahlil qilish, baholash va samarali qaror qabul qilishga xizmat qiluvchi intellektual jarayon sifatida talqin etiladi. Metakognitsiya esa shaxsning o‘z bilish jarayonlarini kuzatishi, boshqarishi va baholashi bilan bog‘liq murakkab kognitiv mexanizm sifatida yoritiladi. Maqolada ushbu ikki hodisaning o‘zaro aloqadorligi, pedagogik faoliyat samaradorligini oshirishdagi ahamiyati, o‘qituvchilarning refleksiv va tanqidiy fikrlash kompetensiyalarini rivojlantirishdagi roli ochib beriladi. Shuningdek, zamonaviy pedagogika va psixologiya fanlarida metakognitiv yondashuvlarning shakllanish tendensiyalari hamda ularni amaliyotga tatbiq etish imkoniyatlari ko‘rib chiqiladi. Tadqiqot natijasida pedagogik tafakkur va metakognitsiyaning integratsiyasi ta’lim sifati va o‘qituvchining kasbiy kompetentligini rivojlantirishning muhim omillaridan biri ekanligi asoslanadi.
