Keywords:

This article analyzes the most frequently occurring collocational units in online news texts and their structural features. The research material consists of news texts in Uzbek from Kun.uz, Daryo.uz, and Qalampir.uz, as well as English-language news texts from BBC News, CNN, and Sky News. Collocations were identified through text observation and structural analysis. The findings reveal that in English, such structural models as Adj+N, V+N, and N+N are prevalent, whereas in Uzbek, N+N and N+V models are more actively used. It was also observed that the most frequent collocational units semantically belong to political, social, and economic domains. The results of the study have practical significance for linguistics, translation studies, and media discourse analysis.
