Abstract

This article is devoted to a systematic study of the role and significance of visual-cartographic competence in the educational process. In modern education, students’ visual thinking and their ability to perceive and analyze information in cartographic form serve as important tools for enhancing the quality of knowledge. The article scientifically substantiates the concept of visual-cartographic competence, its integration into educational programs, its role in pedagogical strategies, and methodological approaches. Furthermore, research by foreign and local scholars is analyzed, demonstrating effective methods for developing visual-cartographic skills and their impact on educational content and learning outcomes. The article also focuses on identifying the importance of using interactive cartographic materials and visual resources in the learning process.
