Abstract

This article examines the characteristics of occupational stress manifestation in teachers and its relationship with individual life positions. The study was conducted using a mixed-methods approach integrating quantitative and qualitative analyses. An adapted version of the “Activity and Optimism Scale (AOS)” developed by I.S. Shuller and A.L. Komunian was used. The results indicate that the level of occupational stress among teachers is above average and is primarily associated with workload, time pressure, and social factors. It was found that teachers with active-optimistic and realistic life positions demonstrate lower levels of stress, whereas passive-pessimistic types exhibit higher stress levels. The findings highlight the significant role of life position as a psychological factor influencing the experience of occupational stress.
