DEVELOPING COMPETENCE IN TEACHING NATURAL SCIENCES TO CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES

Abstract

This article discusses the issues of forming natural and scientific competence in the process of teaching natural sciences to children with disabilities. The importance of understanding the interrelationship between nature, society and man, developing ecological thinking, practical skills and socio-cultural values ​​in students through the content of natural sciences is revealed. The stages, content and specific features of teaching natural sciences in specialized schools are also analyzed. The article substantiates the role of natural sciences in developing cognitive activity of students with disabilities, correcting speech, thinking and imagination processes. Effective ways of forming a conscious attitude towards nature in students through ecological education and upbringing, directing them to practical activities and developing life competencies are shown.
