Abstract

This article explores approaches to developing metacognitive competence in correcting linguistic errors in the process of learning German as a foreign language. The study discusses metacognitive monitoring, self-editing, self-assessment, the use of “Selbstkontrollblätter,” and digital technologies as tools for effective error treatment. Particular attention is paid to phonetic, phonological, and reproductive errors through reflection and learner autonomy. The didactic value of online platforms, interactive tasks, and game-based activities in enhancing motivation and learning outcomes is highlighted.
