Abstract

This article analyzes effective methods for developing students’ speech competence in English language classes. In modern education, one of the key tasks of foreign language teaching is the development of students’ communicative abilities. The study examines the main components of speech competence, pedagogical factors influencing its development, and interactive teaching methods used in the learning process. Special attention is given to the use of dialogues, role-playing activities, problem-based situations, and communicative exercises to improve students’ speaking skills. The findings of the study contribute to improving pedagogical approaches aimed at developing students’ speech competence in English language classes.
