THE ROLE OF MODERN CHILDREN’S LITERATURE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF EXPRESSIVE SPEECH

This article analyzes the pedagogical potential of modern children's literature in developing expressive speech among preschool and primary school children. Based on examples from contemporary Uzbek children's literature, activities such as expressive reading, retelling, dramatization, and dialogic exercises were conducted. The results showed a significant improvement in vocabulary, intonational accuracy, speech fluency, and emotional expressiveness. According to the findings of the study, modern children's literature can be considered an effective methodological tool for the development of expressive speech.
