THE IMPORTANCE OF THE COMPETENCY-BASED APPROACH IN PREPARING TEACHERS FOR PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

This article is devoted to examining the significance of the competency-based approach in the process of preparing educators for professional activities. The research methodology incorporates student-centered, axiological, and competency-based approaches. Using methods of scientific analysis, theoretical comparison, systematization, and conceptual modeling, the professional preparation process of future educators and a system of competencies aligned with qualification standards were studied. The findings demonstrated that the competency-based approach plays a crucial role in effectively teaching students, developing professional knowledge and skills, as well as fostering pedagogical and social competencies. Furthermore, comparison with international and national experiences confirmed the practical significance of this approach.
