THE SYSTEM OF SPEECH THERAPY WORK WITH PATIENTS WITH APHASIA

This article examines the system of speech therapy work with patients who have aphasia, focusing on the scientific and methodological foundations of speech restoration during the acute phase of the disorder. The study analyzes the causes of aphasia, its psychological and neuropsychological characteristics, and the disturbances observed in speech and cognitive activities of patients. Special attention is paid to the principles, methods, and organizational forms of corrective speech therapy sessions aimed at restoring speech functions. The article also highlights the importance of a comprehensive rehabilitation approach involving collaboration between speech therapists, physicians, and psychologists, as well as the necessity of an individual approach to each patient. Furthermore, the issues of developing communicative activity, gradual restoration of oral and written speech, and social reintegration of patients are discussed. The findings emphasize the significance of properly organized speech therapy rehabilitation in improving speech recovery and social functioning of individuals with aphasia.
